Our Dentists

In the summer of 1979, Dr. Merrihew opened his practice in the Canyon Crest Towne Centre in Riverside where he has enjoyed working ever since. Having been brought up in Riverside (Poly class of '70), he is deeply committed to our community having served as President of both the Riverside Branch and Inland Empire Unit of the American Cancer Society, is an active member of the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, is on the board of directors of the Grove Community Church, and has been recognized as "Volunteer of the Year" by the City of Riverside.

Upon graduating from USC with honors where he received both his bachelor and dental degrees and was awarded the Certificate of Merit of Excellence in Endodontics from the American Association of Endodontists, he has lectured and written articles on various dental subjects and been recognized as an outstanding dentist in several publications and organizations. He has obtained extensive post doctoral training in cosmetic dentistry from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and completed a preceptorship in oral implantology at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Dr. Merrihew has been distinguished with a Fellowship in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, Fellowship and Mastership with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Fellowship and Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry, an award held by less than 1% of all general dentists in the United States. He is also an active member with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association, Riverside/Corona Implant Study Club, Tricounty Dental Society, the CA Dental Association, and the ADA. He was appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator in Dental Surgery by the Department of Industrial Relations, State of CA in 1993 and is a certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider. He has been voted one of "Riverside's Best Dentists" and Inland Empire Magazines' "Best Dentists" numerous times. Along with Dr. Zellerbach, Canyon Crest Dental has also acheived Invisalign Premier Provider recognition the last several years.

Paige Zellerbach, D.D.S.

Dr. Zellerbach was born and raised in the Inland Empire. She received her Associate of Science degree from Riverside Community College, her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of CA, Irvine, and her DDS from Loma Linda School of Dentistry. Dr. Zellerbach shares Dr. Merrihew's strong belief in continuing education and has completed many courses in advanced cosmetic dentistry, oral conscious sedation, and pediatric dentistry. She is a certified premier provider for Invisalign and holds a CA permit for administering oral conscious sedation.

Dr. Zellerbach enjoys spending her free time volunteering her skills for the under privileged members of our community. She participates in many activities that help provide dental education to the public. She especially likes working with children and young adults. Dr. Zellerbach and her husband, Paul, make their home in Riverside.
